Dr Olvera is a Commodity Market Analyst at Informa Economics IEG. His primary emphasis is on the cattle and beef markets, in addition to developing tailored sales and procurement strategies for clients.
As part of the Livestock, Meat, Poultry and Dairy team, Dr Olvera oversees production, trade, and price forecasts.

Before joining Informa Economics IEG, he worked as a teaching and research assistant in the Animal Science Department at Texas A&M University. There, he developed econometric models estimating the production-based effects of pharmaceutical technologies in beef cattle production.

Dr Olvera has a bachelor’s degree in animal science, a master’s degree in animal science, a master’s degree in agribusiness, and a doctorate in animal science, all from Texas A&M University.
