Isaac Zhao is responsible for research of fertilizer market primarily in China.
He focuses in nitrogen, phosphate, sulphur & sulphuric acid but not limited within these major products. He also has experience & extensive connections in related areas like phosphate rock & industrial phosphates. He contributes to the current market information as well as long term outlooks published by Fertecon.
Graduated from Shandong University and received a BA in International Economics, Isaac joined Mitsui & Co. (China) Ltd. as manager of risk management and deputy manager of direct investment. He looked after credit control of Mitsui’s major clients in China, feasibility study of new projects and also monitoring financials of several J/Vs. Since April 2005, he joined CRU as a commodity analyst and started his research career in metals & chemicals industry. From 2006, he became a dedicated fertilizer analyst with focus on phosphate, sulphur & sulphuric acid. After 14years service in CRU, Isaac became a member of Fertecon’s team in October 2018, when he started to expand the research coverage to urea & ammonia.
