Joan started as a freelancer at Food Chemical News and became editor in 2016.
Before joining us, she worked as a Washington correspondent for a newsletter covering the produce industry, and as an assistant editor on The Nation’s Health, a monthly publication for members of the American Public Health Association. She also worked for a magazine published by a consumer group, and with producers of a television news exposé.
