As a member of the Informa Economics Research Group’s Transportation, Industrials and Energy Services team, Kip Butts directs the company’s energy analyses and develops customized trading strategies for energy products.
Kip is responsible for Informa Economics IEG fundamental research on the cash and futures cotton markets, with an emphasis on hedging and trading strategies.
He helped establish, and was the inaugural manager, of Informa Economics Producer Services, a consulting business devoted to helping farmers market their crops through the development of customized farm price risk management programs.
Before joining us, Kip was a corporate economist for Hohenberg Bros. Co., now Cargill Cotton.
He has a bachelor's degree in economics and international relations from the University of Memphis.
