He is a senior member of the Client Advisory and Development group. As the longest serving professional employee of IEG, he has experience in commodity market research and analysis, agribusiness and food industry client service, and business consulting.
Before IEG, he was regional extension economist for the Alberta Agriculture Department, a livestock market analyst and policy advisor to the Alberta Minister of Agriculture, and grains/livestock research economist for Cook Industries, Inc.
He received bachelor’s and master's degrees in agricultural economics from the University of Alberta and a doctorate from The Ohio State University.
