The Truckers' strike in Brazil was officially declared over by federal government on Sunday 27th May 2018. However, even after government concessions, signs of the strike still persist as agitators - some truckers and political activists - threaten truckers that want to return to work.
Gradually, conditions are improving and police and army forces are carrying out truck escorts to guarantee the safety of truckers. Also, several federal and state roadways - previously blocked by strikers/agitators - are being opened throughout the country, however, the main highways to major ports are still blocked for trucks.
